This renovation involved expanding the home's footprint by adding a master suite, which enhances privacy and comfort. A single garage was converted into a second living area, enabling the inclusion of a north-facing pool in the front garden. To modernise the home, the original colonial-style windows were replaced with crittall-style double glazing, offering a sleek aesthetic and improved energy efficiency. Wide planks of engineered oak flooring were installed throughout, lending a timeless yet contemporary look, while the bedrooms were fitted with carpet for added comfort.
The living room was enhanced by retaining the existing fireplace, which is now flanked by custom cabinetry and shelving that houses a bar fridge for convenience. Alongside the entrance, there is now a wall of storage that incorporates a desk area and space for shoes, coats, and canine paraphernalia.
Outdoors, the front garden serves as a versatile space with a pool for summer enjoyment. When the pool is not in use, there is a mini putting green and climbing wall, providing fun activities for the children. Beneath the newly added master suite, a basement was created to house a bar and gym area, catering to the family’s leisure and fitness needs.
